Alexandrina Council has announced speed limit changes for Strathalbyn and Willyaroo.

It's application to reduce speed limits down to 70km/h along sections of Dry Plains Road and Nine Mile Road has been approved by the state government. 

This will also include an extension of the 50km/h speed limit zone along Dry Plains Road past the Strathalbyn SA Ambulance Service.

The council applied to the Department for Infrastructure and Transport for the changes in 2021, following community consultation and an independent review of speed limits.

It has advised drivers to keep an eye out for changed to signage, which should happen over the next few weeks.
