As the weather cools and the cost of living continues to bite, those who can are asked to contribute to the annual Life in a Bag collection for local people who are doing it tough.

Families, groups, or individuals can collect items in a new non-plastic bag over the weeks before winter.

LifeInABagSA Southern Area bag drop off will be from 4 to 13 May this year.

Community volunteers collect the bags, label, and distribute them through agencies, including women’s safety shelters, who work with people in need in the local community.

Some suggestions for filling the bags include: toiletries and sanitary products; socks, beanies and gloves; and non-perishable foodstuff.
